I have a customer that has siding damage on his existing home and needs to get some replacement siding. He has master shield siding (tahoe panel) that is triple 3.33333". Master shield went out of business in 2000 and i need to find some or a close match. All i have been able to find is triple 3" panels in other manufacturers panel. Any help would be appreciated.

whew, thats a tough one. Is there anywhere on the house where you could "borrow" some and replace with a different material?

It turns out that I found a triple 3 1/3" panel that we are going to use for the first course and use the siding that was removed their elsewhere on the house. I found a wesite called sidingmatch.com but they wanted around $100 just to identify the product and more money to inform us of where we can purchase it. Great idea for a larger repair, but for 1 square i'm not so sure. I guess its really catered to insurance companies.

You are correct SidingMatch.com does charge $100 but the report not only identifies your siding ( vinyl, steel, aluminum, hardboard, cement...) but can locate small quanities of repair siding nationwide and /or suggest the most similar siding currently manufactured. This is a big time saver for contractors because the alternative is driving from suppplier to supplier wasting time and GAS.
For the home owner finding the correct siding or even the best possible choice is great peace of mind when looking at your siding repair for years to come.

There web site is www.sidingmatch.com

I took a small piece of siding to my local siding supplier, and they identified the siding and gave me three pieces that matched perfectly. Give your local guys a shot first, you might be suprised. Unless of course you already have, in which case you just wasted perfectly good time reading this when you could have been curing cancer.
