The question that I have is what is the approximate depth of footing for a residential contruciton in s. ALabama or N. FLorida region, say Pensacola area. Thanks

Talk to your local building department. They'll be able to tell you exactly what it is.

It is for future use, I am currently in the mid-west but wanting to have some knowledge of area trends. Anyone from these areas I would appreciate your 2 cents.. thanks

Most likely they will have a 24" depth for frostline. Possibly less in some areas.
