I was rebuilding the wooden supports around my flower bed last summer. (It had rotted away from the frequent floods we get on my street because the city hasn't fixed the storm drains yet!) My neighbor comes strolling over, beer in hand, and says, "I see you're rebuilding your bulkhead."
