attic ventilation with ridge vents

with ridge vents running entire length of house and attached garage perpendicular to house is it better to keep garage door open or closed during day for best ventilation and to decrease cooling costs?

Is the garage shaded? I think the lack of a response to this is due to the ambiguity of the question. If all else fails, you can test it both ways and see how often the compressor kicks on. :?

Air takes the path of less resistance. If you deliver more free area air with the garage door open it should work better. A lot of people with ridge vents do not have enough free square inches in the eave intake vents.
