Outside cabana

I am building an outside kitchen. I am also building a 4 post cabana with a hip roof above the kitchen. The roof will be 13feet x 13 feet. How do I find out the correct size of the joists that will be supporting the roof? There will be no joists runing 16 " on center, just 4 joists (faciar board) running around the outside where the hip roof will connect.

Without some extensive knowledge in wood design and doing it yourself you could go to your LHS and ask them to size them. Many of them do have some type of engineer that can size beams and joists. Other than that - hire an engineer or architect to provide their services. (I hate to say that - but it's better safe than sorry).
