Hello,
I am about to replace a 35-year old cement tile roof with cement tile and thus far have obtained one estimate. It specifies the use of polyfoam. for setting the tiles. The estimator says that it is now state of the art and that they no longer set tiles in cement. By word of mouth, another roofer has said that polyfoam has not been proven.
The installation will be two blocks from the ocean in Florida. I have several questions:
What is the preferred method of setting the tiles?
Should all or any of the tiles be nailed in place?
I prefer a white white roof. Therefore, should I get painted tiles rather than color-through?
Any other considerations?
