Residential demolition costs in S. Fl.

I know its by the hour. The area is right around 1000 sqft. I'm gonna try to do most of it myself but we'll see how it goes.

In texas you can demo a house for around $4K.

Can't be to much off from Florida. I think i'll try to do as much of it myself as I can. Maybe i'll even be able to reuse some materials. I'm not counting on it but maybe.

Just dont forget to mark the utilites and cut everything off.

Talked to a contractor. He wanted to charge me 25K to tear down the above mentioned area. You wouldn't believe how much he wan't to charge me for the remodel. Lets just say that the total cost for everything came out to $200 per sq/ft and I won't be using him. For anything. Looks like i'll be doing pretty much everything except the trusses. And i'll find someone else.
