Can anyone give me the average rate to charge for a roofing square on a 6 For ripping off and replacing shingles. also for a basic 10 pich.

you're the only one that can answer that, but try this:
Take what it will cost you to do the job...everything...if it's a 2 day job, how much does it cost to run your business for 2 days? GL, WC, wages, benefits, bonuses, taxes, fuel, office rent, accounting, wear and tear on the truck(s), new tires every year divided by 365....everything...you get the idea. Now, what do YOU (the company) want to clear on the job? Grand total is..........?? Divided by the number of squares = $XXX per square

the numbers in my area for just shingling by the square not including material range from $20 per square to $55 per square on a basic roof under an 8 pitch. It depends on who is going to do it $20 is some fly by night with no insurance work comp wanting cash payment. The best to get several bids and compair pricing from there.

Sorry for being so late to reply to this.
In Pensacola, Florida it is currently running $185 a square for tear off and replacement. Immediately after Ivan it was over $200 a square.

60 per sq ripping each layer and 60 per sq installing new
