Wood Porch on Brick house

Constructing new house that will be brick. It will have a covered porch on the front and back and I would like to know the recommended procedure to attach the ledger board to the brick.

Should this be done before the brick? Wouldnt that leave an opening?

If attached to the brick with bolts wouldnt that cause to much lateral pressure on the veneer?

Since it's new construction, you have a wide variety of options. Those options depend upon what's behind the brick veneer...
