I have been browsing around at vinyl siding and found a certain brand I like called Variform. The series is called Timber Oak. Is there anyone out there that knows anything about this product or company? Could someone recommend a good vinyl siding manufacturer comparable or better than the one mentioned? Thanks for all the help given.

The company i work for has hung variforms varigrain siding and has been happy with it. It is not very readily available around here though. I'm not framiliar with any other of variform's product. One of the best vinyl siding options i have found is Alside's Charter Oaks Siding and if you are using vinyl for your sofits Charter Oak soffit is great too.

Thanks Poke. I'll check those others out. As far as availabiltity, there are several distributors here in FL. for Variform. I may swing in and check out some samples. Do you know if the $$$$ is comparable to other brands?

a supplier i use previously carried variform and dropped it because of the quality. it was the lower end of there siding materials. as for me i have installed it and found it to be of a much lesser quality compared to certainteed or mastic. im not sure which line of siding i was using (ie timber oak) but i know it was not even close to the quality of the certainteed mainstreet which is their low end material.
i would look and compare samples side by side before you make any decisions.

I'm building a house and the variform timber oak is what I am planing on using.
The Timber Oak is .048 thickness which is thicker than other siding of comparible prices in my area. I liked it because you're not stuck with the bland solid colors like most other brands.
