Hi Folks...

I'm re-flashing a deck on a cantlevered deck on my in-laws house and I"m not sure what kind of flashings are available in copper. (or really what to ask for at the yard). The deck had only an L-flashing and the water get in there are has damaged some of the T111 siding.

I need a z-flashing and an L flashing in pretty long lengths (the deck is close to 24 feet long.)

Is this something that I can fabricate with a rented tool out of a roll? (a die maybe?) Or should I find a sheet metal co to make them? Or... should I buy shorter lengths of flashing? If I use shorter lengths how much should I overlap them?

I know.. a million questions.

A roofing or waterproofing contractor will have a metal break and can make anything you want.
