What the?

Ok, so I finished grouting about 700 sqft of tile (sanded, no epoxy mix), and now I'm cleaning up. The haze cleans up fine off the tile, but the grout lines are not nice and straight (sloppy looking?). If I really rub and scrub, I can get them to look nice, but it takes A LOT of elbow grease to get it done, and at this rate, my hands will be down to the bone before I get halfway done. It's regular ceramic tile I got from Lowes, not very smooth, which is most of my problem I guess. I've even tried using a diluted 'grout haze remover solution' (non-acidic). Not much better results...

I need some tips and advice real bad, although my scrubbing works, there's GOT to be an easier way.

sounds like you let the grout get too hard before clean up to me. Most grouts say it is time to clean up after you can make a small indention in the grout with your fingernail. I don't know of any good solutions to offer you. sorry.
