Opting to do the painting on my new construction house, I have finished the walls and ceilings and have started on the trim. Baseboards and casings, as well as sills are a composite white preprimed material (MDF???) and it seems to take the Sherwin Williams Pro semigloss white very well by brush.
I do have about 30+ Masonite Cheyenne style interior doors to paint as well. :( I wouldn't say they are primed in the same sense as the trim, but it is a semi smooth surface. I tried to hand brush one of the doors, and it seems to cover poorly, takes a lot of time, and will need a second coat.
Would I be better off to use a Wagner sprayer I have, a roller, or tough it out with a brush? I'm leaning towards pulling the hingepins and breaking out the Wagner, but thinning out the heavy latex like this SW has been hit or miss for me in the past.
I am open to any suggestions or tips.
