Hi,
I have recurring basement window leak issues. The basement is poured concrete and the builder put the metal window frame imbeded within the concrete. The leak appears to be coming from the bottom corners (in-between frame and window) since the wet spot is visible there. The builder tried to repair it by applying silicone caulk(?) in-between window well and exterior concrete wall. It stopped the leak temporarily(to dodge the issue after 1 yr warranty), but it's happening again. BTW, the weep hole is clear, so there isn't any obstruction for drainage. What would be the probable cause (window? or concrete?) and the correct approach to repair the problem. It's still under warranty and the window replacement is highly feasible.
