Low Voltage Switches

Where can I find them. I couldn't find any online and didn't see any at Lowes. My current switches are a little outdated and I was hoping to update them.

What do you mean low voltage. How low? What are you using them for?
Something like a light switch doesn't know or care whether the voltage is 24 volts or 120 volts usually.

Typically with low voltage lighting you will have line voltage (120v) running from a switch to a transformer that reduces the voltage to 12 or 24 volt.

Yeah, i have a relay box that is fed by the curcuit breaker, so all my lights are on a relay box and on low voltage switches (ie Nutone).

Probably the best switch you can get is Lutron. I know that Lowes and Home Depot are resellers for Lutron.

I saw some online and they were expensive for the switches, but I may have been looking at one that had more functionality. What do these typically run compared to traditional switches, extra 25, 50, 100%??

It depends on if you have to have a smart switch compared to dumb switch. If your system is addressable - meaning it can change functions depending on what the system tells it to. If it doesn't need to do that then they aren't too bad - maybe 25% higher cost. Expect 10 times as much for an addressable switch.

Just checked on www.homedepot.com and they range from $15/each up to $62/each.
