exterior electrical flashing

I have been following the thread regarding window flashing with interest. It occurred to me that electrical penetrations are every bit as much a hazard for water leaks as are windows, but I have not seen anything regarding flashing electrical boxes and other penetrations, particularly in a stucco exterior. Any suggestions?

they make a black putty that you can use for small penetrations like wires. If the object is big enough that the siding needs to go around it, then normal flashing procedure would probably be the solution.

The meter cans should be flashed also.
