View Full Version : support wall for a log home
I read somewhere that support walls need to be 2"x6" and 12" on center instead of 16", I'm supporting one and a half storries log home with a heavy roof system (4"x10")
what would the right way to build them.
Unless there are plans that specifically mention the 12" o.c. - 2x6 @ 16" o.c. is sufficient. An engineer would be able to tell you for sure though.
