Hi All:

I have attached a picture of a type of finish I would like to install on my house which I am in the process of finishing. I would like to know how to install and finish this type of trim work. My home is in the framed and papered stage and will be starting the installation of the stone venere soon. The stone will be installed exactly the way it is shown in the attached picture.Your help is most appreciated.
Thanks
Joe

How handy are you with tools and how much knowledge do you have of construction?

I would say on a scale of 1-10 that would be a 8-9 for a diyer.

Cole, that is a paneled barrel-arch where everything must play off the radius of the window in order to look correct.

for a DIYer I'd call it a 15, and a 10 for most 'professionals'

I agree, now that I think about it.

Hi Guys, Thanks for responding. Well I think I am very good with the tools, like a good 9. I am an Electrical Contractor and have been in the trades my whole life. I framed out the front arch on my house which has the front foyer similar to what you see in the photo. I have the arch radius 6" larger than the window radius to allow enough room for trimming. I was going to fill this area in with stone but I am liking what I see with this look and want to known from the pro's on exactly how to do it. I do hope someone can help. I do appreciate it.
Thanks
Joe
