Whats up everyone. Need some advice. I currently have a 150A service that is piped around the back of the house. I am doing a whole house renovation which includes an extension on the back. The service piping is in the way of the new framing so I must relocate temporary. I wanted your advice on my plan for the temp because the contractor will need an outlet to run his saw. Below is the plan for the temp.
Pipe out of the meter into a 60A outdoor load center. Instead of using a 60A breaker I will only use a 20A since that is what the contractor needs. THe wire from the meter to the load center will be 10-3. I will pipe out of the load center into a PVC box with a GFI. Is this ok? I cannot set the permanent service yet because the contractor did not finish the siding or the framing on the extension (metric will be on the side of the extension). Also the garage has all the materials for the new room so I cannot run the SCR yet. The full service should be complete in 1-2 weeks.
The plan for the permanent service is to run SCR through the garage into the basement. A 200A meter disconnect will be in the garage (behind the meter).
Thx for your help.
