Preserve oak kitchen cabinets

Remodeling dated (60's) kitchen. The cabinets are custom oak built onsite. Very dark staining. Too much of a labor intensive project to strip, sand and restain.
Anyone have experience or advise on using so called no sand no scrape products such as Formby's?

Why not give it a try. I'm not a big fan of chemicals but Fromby'sdoesn't seem like your average wood stripper/paint remover type of chemical.
