I just got this beautiful walnut door with two sidelites and here is my problem. I installed few doors in the past but never with sidelites. I used long screws to attached door to the jamb, usually through hinges on one side or under the weather strip on other. In such a case, screws are covered by the weather strips or are part of the hinge’s hardware.
The sidelites have beautiful finish and would not like to damage it.
Is there any way to attach the frame to the jambs without damaging the finish?
I am going to call vendor after the weekend but would appreciate any tips.
