Pouring footer--weather concerns

I'm having a builder construct my new home. The basement was dug this week and then it started raining the next day. My question is: How dry does the ground have to be in order for the footer to be poured? If it rains today, can it be poured tomorrow?

It depends on soil conditions in your area. If you have really sandy soil - no problem. If you have a lot of clay - it would be best to wait a spell before pouring.
