trench footing.........

Nowhere have I seen anything writen about trench footings. The contractor who poured the footings for my present home simply dug the trench, set the rebar and filled the trench.

Is there any reason why this process would be undesirable? :roll:

Nothing wrong with trench footings (bank poured). It's one of those things that are completely acceptable yet engineers do not like them - just because they can't get exact calculations.
