I would like to cantiliver a belcony outdoors from the second floor.

Is it possible to use TJI for the entire floor or must I use treated wood for the exterior.?

Can I connect the treated 2x to the TJI?

What is the best way to give the balconey the slope it needs for drainage?

thanks again,

Most I-Joist manufacturers will not rate their joists for exterior use. So I would say that you will need to use treated wood. Most likely you will have a rim joist of some type going along the outside of the building which you can attach your treated ledger board to with lag bolts or carriage bolts. You will then need a beam at the outside edge of your deck to support the other ends of the treated joists. Put this beam 1/8"-1/4" / foot below the ledger board plus the depth of your joists. This will allow your joists to rest on top of the beam and will give you the slope you need.
