now is the time for cheap money..........

I am a loan officer pretending to be a construction guy in my spare time. I am excited about the recent oppertunities to combine building abilities with cheap money to improve properties. I have done it a few times and am doing it again now.

There are rumors now of interest rates starting to rise as they did last summer.

I think that too many people assume that low interest rates are forever. Well there not!

I am suggesting that if anyone is thinking about using thier equity to do some good things with, then now may be the time. Good luck to all.

Thanks for the advice. I agree. The rates have been low for awhile, they have to go up soon. I'm hoping to use the equity from my condo to put a down payment on another unit in my building.

This condo building is 50+ years old and falling apart. It's in the dead center of an affluent suburb. Currently there is a committee researching re-development possibilities. I'm gambling my equity that tearing down this building is a key part of that re-development.
