I dont know if I am in correct section but here it goes, I have some designs for some project that I will start next year, it is an addition to the house and a storage shed in the yard.

My question is for the pourpose of getting permits how are the drawings suppost to look, ie. large sheet printed on ploter, separate drawings for each (Framing, electrical etc..)

I think I can make my own drawings, I took graphic arts in college and I have made hand drawings for small woodworking projects.

I have to submit plans to my city's engineering dept. (Ft Lauderdale FL) for approval before applying for permits, I dont want to show up there and make everybody laugh.

Any help is appreciated

TIA.

Check with your cities building department. Ours required 2 copies, 24 X 36 with engineers stamp.

When printing out extra copies for bidding purposes in addition to the full sheets I also printed some 12 x 18 that worked fine for some of the subs. Others required the full sheets also for bidding. Gave them a choice.
