I am new here so if I do this wrong forgive me while I learn the ropes,
My situation is this I am refurbishing my kitchen and it will require the removal of a wall between the den and the living room. The structure in the roof sys. is W style trusses , the span will be approx. 25ft running perpendicular with the trusses which are on 24inch centers. Will it be necessary for me to install a beam to support the structure or will the trusses carry the load sufficently. I have a 5/12 pitch roof and we never get any snow here in the panhandle of Fl, well not normally but wht is normal abt this weather. The structure over the 25by 25 garage on the end of my house is the same type w trusses and it has no support wall and it is covered with 1/2 inch drywall. Maby I just answered my question but I like to hear it from someone who knows wht they are talking abt. So help me out here fellars for my wife and maw-and-law are after me to get started. tks boss----terry:confused:
