Hey Guys, I'm running 3 1/4" base around a knee wall that divides a hallway from a room. The hallway tile floor is 3/4" higher than the carpet in the room. So the base and shoe in the room will be lower than the hall base. The tile runs straight along the kneewall and then the carpet starts in the opening. The kneewall is wrapped with drywall so there is no casing to end at. Hope this makes sense. Any ideas how to transition the base from one height to the other ? I was thinking of making some kind of "soldier" on the corner and then start the carpet base lower. What do you think ? Thanks, Jack

Well you've probably already tackled this seeing you posted this a month ago, but here's my 2 cents anyway in case you didn't.

This is just an aesthetics issue obviously, so there are a couple ways to do it. The only thing that matters is that you like how it looks when it's done. If I were doing it, I would probably do it this way:
