Hi. I'm Steve and live in Kentucky.

I have had a 2700 sq ft "ranch" under construction since December 03 - target for finishing is early-mid June. I've been taking construction pictures all along and loading some of the exterior shots here:
http://www.glowingtubes.com/p/house_progress.htm

I customized the original floorplan somewhat and am currently helping my GC with the wiring and I will be doing all of the interior painting and exterior landscaping.

I'm a decent painter and besides saving money in the painting budget, I prefer to do it myself (I've never seen a flawless wall done by someone else :D ). But I will no doubt be looking for tips to make this extensive job easier and faster. This forum looks like a great place for smart ideas and advice.

So glad to find this site!

Welcome.we try our best with whatever knowledge we have. Just assess for yourself and ask locally to see if it works. I'm just amazed at your ability to even post pictures!!!!!
It looks like a great house with a great view. I noticed that not only did they put re rod in the footings they even ' keyed" (made a groove in the concrete) for the foundation wall. Nice.

Roger do you have a website? He posted those pics on his website. If you have a website and Can't post your pics I'll be glad to try and walk you through it.

I am in a generous mood.

I appreciate the offer. I don't have a website. Ive tried scanning and posting but apparently the files become too big and I can't shrink them down. My wife who is a lot better at this can't figure how to shrink them down either. We have had so much problemith the com, puter lately she has spent many hours trying to fix it and so far it appears to be holding. I know nothing about computers even though we have owned them for almost 20 years. You can't be good at everything. On friday I head north to take possession of a house that we hope to fix up and will be away from the computer probably for months so anything I learn now will be forgotten. Thanks anyways.
