Any suggestions on type of systems. Unfortunately I can't pre-wire it as the construction is completed. I would have preferred a hard wired setup.

So it would need to be wireless to cover windows/doors and motion detectors.

Thanks in advance.

Most of what we do is hard wired, but I'll ask at work on monday how we'd retro some security. We mostly tilt towards the a/v side of low voltage, but I'll see what they say, we sometimes wire for security.

They happened to have some wireless stuff sitting on the table right as I asked the question today. The remote door sensor was made by honeywell. They also had a wireless motion sensor sitting there. If you're dead set against surface running wires, or the cost of retro-fitting, wireless might work.

It depends on what type of security you really need or want to install.
