I need to put in a 30 ft long 3 ft wide side walk.
The ground here is terrible, turn left. All rocks, on a hill side, if you dig down about 6 inchs you hit red clay for approx 2 ft then shale.
I am thinking about driving 18 in 3/4 rebar in the ground about 3 ft apart along the length of the walk. Use 2X4 to form it up and reinforcing wire tied to the vertical rebar.
I will be going across ground that will be rising along the length and falling off to one side the whole length of the span, neither angle being extereme.
Comments and suggestions are welcomed.
