I have already got my plans approved by the city building and safety for a 365 sqft room addition. The architect designed it with plywood sheathing which I understand just went up big in $. The existing structure is already sheathed with OSB. Does a change to osb need to go through architect and city plans check? I am getting ready to frame it and do not need a hassle. What if I was to just use OSB. Could the inspector not sign me off and make me re-sheath in plywood as the plans show?

You're best bet is to call your building department and see if it's acceptable... you should probably call the artchitect also just to let him know about the change. You shouldn't need to resubmit the plans to the reviewer - but ask your inspector.
