Insulating Stems

I've heard from the ICF companies that you can loose up to 30% of your heating/cooling through uninsulated stems

Anyone got a comment on that? Is it hype?

I'll be honest my experience with ICF construction is limited to just a couple of projects... the 30% loss actually seems kind of high. I wouldn't think it would be that much.. but like I said - limited knowledge of ICF.
