My attic use to have a bathroom but it was not legal. So before I bought the house it was capped.

Now I am trying to re-finish the attic space and I am looking for the easiest way to conceal the remains of the toilet.

- What is the best way to conceal a water pipe. Can I cap it really short and leave it in the floor? Or should I move it to a wall? Should I add a valvle there, it's an old home and there was no valve up there at all.

- What is the best way to conceal the drain pipe. Seems like the waste pipe is in a cement slab about 1' wide by about 3' long. I could raise a little floor with plywood but I'm not sure what to do with the bolts sticking up (one from the cap and two that where used to bolt the toilet down).

Any ideas?

Sawzall works good. :) Cut them off below floor if possible and cap them. You'll probably have to pull up some of the sub-floor to get it low enough. I wouldn't bother with adding a valve unless it could serve a purpose at a later time.
You can chip the concrete pad out and again cut it below the floor and cap.
