View Full Version : Our Garage

Hi everyone! We're having a new detached garage built on our property and I thought I might share some of the progress pictures. As of right now, it is still in the middle of construction, but I will post a few pictures each day on what has gone on so far.
I've got a camera set up on my window sill to capture a "time lapse" of the construction. So far, it's working!! I hope you all like it!
Maybe just a little about it first:
It will be a triple car garage!! Yeah, bigger is better (you men out there will know what I mean!). The main garage door will be an oversized 16' one (for access to 2 car spots in the garage), and set back off to the left will be a regular single-car garage door (for access to the 3rd car spot). We're having it positioned at a 45 degree angle to the house. Electrical will be the only service, no plumbing. We won't heat the garage either ($$$ here in Nova Scotia!!). The small red shed you see in the background of the pictures will be moved further down the property later so it doesn't interfere with the shed. Uhh, that's about it for now I guess!

Day 1: Sunday, May 6
We got out our "professional" surveyors tape from Canadain Tire and set up a rough layout of how we wanted it to be.
Day 2: Monday, May 7
Then the real guys came and put us to shame with their real measurements and survey instruments to get it on a true 45 degree angle to the house and to square up all the stakes.
*I know, the pictures look boring right now, but they will get better!!! There will probably be at least 40 days to go through!

Day 3: Tuesday, May 8
The excavator arrived and he started to dig out the trench for the foundation. He could only finish half before he ran out of daylight (he was still working with the lights on the digger when I got home at 9pm!!!). He went down about 3-4' just to get below the frost line.
Day 4: Wednesday, May 9
He was back on it early the next morning to finish the job! He dug the rest of the trench and scraped the grass off of the inner part.

Day 5: Thursday May 10
No construction today.
Day 6: Friday May 11
No construction today.

Day 7: Saturday May 12
The foundation guys came with the form truck and, after looking at the footing beds, said that the soil was still too soft and that depth to lay a good foundation! So, the excavator had to dig down another foot! Now we're down to about 5' at the deepest point. But I guess it's better to have a solid foundation rather than the alternative!!
Day 8: Sunday May 13
No construction today.

Wow, that's going to be a lot of footings for a garage.
Mike44
05-22-2007, 07:49 PM
Yeah, I guess, but remember - this is a three car garage, not just a small shed! Plus, that is how it would be for any regular attached garage off of a house; not as deep as a basement, but just deep enough to get below the frost line and on undisturbed soil. The foundations themselves were going to be 4' tall, but due to the soil quality, they've been extended to 5'. We couldn't really go with a floating floor due to the size of the garage; a foundation was our only option.
Day 9: Monday, May 14
The forms for the footings were built and poured today.
Day 10: Tuesday, May 15
The footings were allowed to set overnight so that the forms for the foundation could be constructed. The offset area between the two garage doors posed a bit of a challenge for the guys but they managed!!

Mike,
Nice work. Enjoying the pictures.

05-23-2007, 10:22 AM
Thanks! We're on day 18 right now so I'm just trying to get some of these pictures caught up. There will still be quite a few though!!
Day 11: Wednesday, May 16
The guys finished building the forms for the foundation in the morning before the concrete trucks arrived for the pour. We needed two trucks (not sure how much concrete that is???) for the whole wall. Even though it is May, it was only 4°C during the pour and there were a few flurries overnight!! When this whole project was in the planning stages over the winter, I thought that it might be too hot and that the concrete would set too fast, but it was totally the opposite! I was worried about it not setting quick enough!
Day 12: Thusday, May 17
Then it warmed up the next day to about 10°C and it rained, and rained a lot more, and the dirt turned to mud. The concrete had set enough overnight though so that the guys could remove the forms. By the end of that day, we ended up with a little pond around the foundation!!
woodall83
05-23-2007, 11:46 AM
Must not have been easy pouring that with the mixer truck. We use pump trucks here and it's alot easier to get the concrete where you need it. Also, what did they do with all that dirt? What are they going to back fill with?
Mike44
05-23-2007, 04:52 PM
I was a bit surprised too that they didn't have the pump truck either (like the one with the big arm high in the air that can reach over to the pour site?). I did see one of those on another job site down the road, but I guess they didn't really need it here. They just lined up the trough to the forms and let it go!
As for the back filling, the pictures do make it look like there is no dirt left!! I can see what you mean. Actually, it has just all been flattened out so that the trucks can get around to the back of the garage easier. If you look at picture 12a, on the right side of the garage there is about 2' of dirt but it all blends in with the side or drop off of the hole, so it looks like there is no dirt!! Actually, we just got it backfilled today and there was still plenty to get a nice slope away from the walls.
Day 13: Friday, May 18
The sealant was painted onto the foundation walls today. I know that some areas (especially in Ontario) will use the corrugated sheets up against the walls - this tar sealant essentially does the same thing to seal it up and keep the water flowing down to the weeping tile.
Day 14: Saturday, May 19
No construction today.
Yuk! Third day of rain and no sign of letting up! The weeping tile was delivered, but couldn't be laid because it would have to be completely submerged underwater and would probably just float up again!! It just needs a good pump out after it stops raining.
Mike44
05-23-2007, 05:09 PM
Day 15: Sunday, May 20
No construction today.
Day 16: Monday, May 21
Finally laid the weeping tile! We had to pump some of the water out from around the footings before laying it down though. I've seen some job sites in other parts of the country using the black, corrugated, flexible tubing. But rigid, 4", sch. 40 conduit with holes drilled in on the sides were used here. It drains out towards the forest at the back just in front of the small shed. We also got 8 loads of stone for fill inside of the garage. It will be the final layer before the concrete floor on top.
Mike44
05-23-2007, 05:43 PM
Okay, after this post, I'll be all caught up on pictures! We've just finished day 18 tonight!
Day 17: Tuesday, May 22
Still more rain! And cold!! We got our delivery of wood so that the framers can get to work as soon as the backfilling is done. As I'm sure some people out there will agree with me, it was just too nice to have the lumber out in the rain...so, I covered it up!! I KNOW, you're saying "it doesn't have to be covered!" But I can't let it get all wet!! I hate working with wet lumber!
Day 18: Wednesday, May 23
FINALLY, A DAY OF SUN! It's been about a week of rain, so finally the sun can dry up some of the water. Today we got rid of all the dirt piles! The entire outer wall was backfilled and roughly graded. Half of the inner wall was filled in with stone and tamped down as well. We're still waiting on another few loads of stone for the rest of the inner area now.

Things are really moving along. No fabric around the drain pipe?
Mike44
05-23-2007, 06:03 PM
Actually no, not directly around it. For this type of weeping tile installation, the fabric actually goes on top of the stones that cover the pipe. I've got the pictures below here. For the corrugated, flexible, black weeping tile, the fabric is wrapped around the pipe when you buy it and you just lay it down like that.
Mike44
05-26-2007, 07:47 AM
Day 19: Thursday, May 24
The rest of the inner wall was filled in with the stone up to the 'rough' level that it had to be. It was tamped down as well. The driveway approach to the garage was also being cut through the grass.
Day 20: Firday, May 25
The final load of stone was delivered today and was spread out in the inner wall area up to the final level so that the concrete can be poured. The driveway area in front of the garage was also created - roughly! It still has to be made a little better!

Day 23: Monday, May 28
Today the framers have finally begun the walls!! Now the structure is coming together! I know, the bulldozer is sitting right in front of the camera the whole time trying to get all the attention, but look beyond it - to the walls! Anyways, it was another miserable, rainy, cold day and they were only able to frame up the back wall and part of the small garage door wall.
Day 24: Tuesday, May 29
Today was a little nicer - in terms of weather - and they managed to frame up all the walls, raise them up, and tie them in together. In the final picture, you can see really well the layout of the structure. As I said in my first post, the right-most opening is the large 16' garage door and on the left is the regular sized garage door with a man-door in the middle. There is also a door on the back wall too for access. And of course, the windows will be nice to let in some natural light.
If you have any questions or comments so far, go ahead and post them! I'd like to hear what you all think!!

Day 25: Wednesday, May 30
The roof trusses were brought on site today and put up. The large ones for the right portion of the shed were the heavy ones so they had to be put in place using the crane. That was pretty neat to watch! You can just see the start of the front hip roof too (I think that is what it is called??) being created over the large garage door on the right.
Day 26: Thursday, May 31
They continued on the roof today. The hip roof (?) over the large garage door was completed too and looks great! It makes the roof a bit more interesting!

06-01-2007, 06:36 AM
How come they didn't pour the floor yet?
Mike44
06-02-2007, 06:02 PM
Should the floor have been poured first? The contractor said that on a job like this, it didn't really matter when the floor was made. Since there are two garage doors, man doors, and windows all around, there's a ton of access points for the concrete guys to pour the floor. In huge residential developments that are built just outside of Toronto, Ontario, I've seen gravel basements still even after the plumbers and electricians have been in there (I assume they can get the concrete in there through the small basement windows?).
Day 27: Friday, June 1
The shingles were put on the front hip roof. Don't really know why they started the shingles when they haven't even finished putting the plywood on the roof, but whatever - they know what they're doing.
Day 28: Saturday, June 2
No construction today.
Mike44
06-05-2007, 08:12 AM
Day 29: Sunday, June 3
No construction today.
Day 30: Monday, June 4
Well, we're a month into construction! The workers continued with the shingles on the smaller roof and then went to the back roof to put the plywood down on it.
woodall83
06-05-2007, 12:15 PM
I agree it's strange to sheath and shingle one side before the other. Not wrong, just strange.
Mike44
06-06-2007, 01:51 PM
Day 31: Tuesday, June 5
The framers finished putting the plywood on the back roof and also did something else around the eavestrough areas (I'm not quite sure what though??).
Day 32: Wednesday, June 6
Then they built the two dormers on the back roof (they actually look quite nice I think!).
Mike44
06-10-2007, 07:30 AM
Day 33: Thursday, June 7
No construction today.
Day 34: Friday, June 8
The roofers installed most of the shingles on the back two dormers and the back roof.
Mike44
06-10-2007, 12:38 PM
Day 35: Saturday, June 9
No construction today.
Day 36: Sunday, June 10
No construction today.
Mike44
06-18-2007, 08:41 AM
Day 37: Monday, June 11
No construction today.
Day 38: Tuesday, June 12
The roofers installed the roof vent and cap shingles for the two peaks on the roof. They also put up the plywood and home wrap on the back upper peak wall.
Mike44
06-18-2007, 08:59 AM
Day 39: Wednesday, June 13
The workers put up the plywood and home wrap on the left second floor wall, built the small little roof half way up it (and shingled it - all in one day!), and put up the two windows on the second floor.
Day 40: Thursday, June 14
The soffit and facia boards were installed part way around the roof line and the rest of the windows on the first floor were installed. More of the electrical trench was dug from the house (it had to be dug there so that a little patio could start being built off the side of the house over the conduit).
Mike44
06-18-2007, 09:06 AM
Day 41: Friday, June 15
The workers continued installing the soffit vents and facia around the roof line.
Day 42: Saturday, June 16
No construction today.

06-18-2007, 09:35 AM
Day 42: Sunday, June 17
Okay, the pictures for today are for the guys on the electrical forum! For a "nice" Father's Day project, my dad and I did some "bonding" as we re-installed the electrical conduit and future feeder conduit inside the garage. The one that was put there initially was total crap (pardon my language) but I just couldn't look at it anymore. Plus, the floor will be poured sometime this week, so the conduits had to go in. I was happy after the old one came out and I was looking at ours that we installed. Perfectly plumb and parallel! We left some excess pipe at the top so it could be cut depending on the sub-panel height. The left conduit is for the 100 amp service, and the right conduit is for future feeds (like a telephone line, or an air compressor hose, etc. - whatever might be needed). The picture "Day 42a" is a before image, and the rest of Day 42 are after images.
Day 43: Monday, June 18
No construction today.
Mike44
06-23-2007, 03:28 PM
Day 44: Monday, June 18
No construction today.
Day 45: Tuesday, June 19
The plastic sheets and re-bar mesh was laid down on the gravel sub-floor to get ready for the concrete pour tomorrow!
Mike44
06-23-2007, 03:37 PM
Day 46: Wednesday, June 20
The concrete floor was poured today in the morning and buffed periodically throughout the day to give it a nice smooth surface. It actually has sort of a wet look to it, almost like it is polished! This way, it's a lot smoother as well; not so rough like usual pours that they would do in a basement.
Day 47: Thursday, June 21
The window of the front hip roof was installed along with the front and back man doors. The soffit vents and fascia continued to be installed as well on the front hip roof. They also put on the bracing underneath the joists for the 2nd floor. The way I usually see it done is with two boards in between each joists to form an 'X' shape, but here they used 1x4 strapping and nailed them across the bottom of several joists in a row. The contractor said it is more rigid this way, and I could see how he is correct.
Mike44
06-23-2007, 03:52 PM
Day 48: Friday, June 22
Installed soffit vents and fascia on front of garage. Check out those rain clouds in the background. There was a slight chance of thunder showers late in the afternoon according to the weather network - yeah, I'd say they were right! We ended up with a 1 1/2 feet of water in our 2 foot electrical trench (you can just see it on the lower left)!!!
Day 49: Saturday, June 23
No construction today (just a whole lot of water to deal with...ahhh!!!!).
Mike44

K, I'm not going to do this day by day thing anymore because I think the pictures will be taking up a lot of space on the server!!
I'll just post a picture or two when something gets completed (like the siding, or the floor upstairs, electrical, etc.)
But I will show you the final images once it's all finished!
Sorry about this!
David

K, I'm not going to do this day by day thing anymore because I think the pictures will be taking up a lot of space on the server!!
If everyone were posting images like you, then maybe this would be an issue. But since people rarely post photos, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Seriously, if Rich cared, I bet he'd PM you and kindly inform you.
Mike44
06-27-2007, 06:10 AM
Oh okay, so it would be alright to keep going??? I just don't want a server to fill up all with just this one post!
David
06-27-2007, 12:23 PM
You'd be hard pressed to take enough photos to fill up a server! You're limited to less than 100K per photo. If you posted a thousand photos, you'd have 100Mb of images. The server probably has a capacity of 100Gb to 500Gb. In other words, a thousand people could post a thousand images and maybe then Rich would begin to run low on space.:)
David
06-27-2007, 12:23 PM
Besides, I want to see more.
Mike44
06-27-2007, 05:57 PM
Oh okay! You've made a good point! I guess it'll be alright to keep going! Plus with their server upgrade, it is probably better now too, right? I do just want to warn you though that not too much more will be happening in terms of being able to see it from the 'time lapse' camera (the one taking pictures of the entire work site from my window sill). It's mostly just the siding, garage doors, and then electrical - that's it!!!!
Day 50: Sunday, June 24
No construction today.
Day 51: Monday, June 25
Clear blue skies today and no rain! The first pieces of siding went up on the back and side walls today. Also, wood boards were put around the windows and doors - these pieces will support the trim.
Mike44
06-27-2007, 06:13 PM
Day 52: Tuesday, June 26
3/4" plywood was installed on half of the upstairs floor and now it is looking more like a second floor, although you can't see it too well in these pictures. More backing was also put on around windows and doors to support the trim. And, as usual, more siding was put up.
Day 53: Wednesday, June 27
And finally you can see the colour of the siding here on the garage! That's what everyone waits for - the colour! We had to go with red to match the house. The complete back wall of the garage and half of the right wall are done - didn't get pictures yet though.
Mike44
07-03-2007, 08:11 AM
Day 54: Thursday, June 28
We had more of the plywood floor put in upstairs to access the two dormer windows in the back and the octagon window in the front. More siding was also put up.
Day 55: Friday, June 29
The trim was put on around the garage doors and the two back dormer windows were put on. And, as usual, more siding went up on the left side wall and around the small garage door.
Mike44
07-03-2007, 08:21 AM
Day 56: Saturday, June 30
No construction today.
Day 57: Sunday, July 1
No construction today (CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - yeah, you can tell I live in Canada!).
Mike44
07-06-2007, 06:08 PM
Day 58: Monday, July 2
No construction today (but check out the storm in the 2nd picture!!).
Day 59: Tuesday, July 3
Finally, the last of the siding went up on the large garage door! More of the plywood floor upstairs was put in in the right dormer window walk way. The rest of the electrical trench was laid and connected from the house to the garage (but no wires pulled through yet). And the stairs were also built too - they look AMAZING!!! They're nice and wide and have 4 stringers, so they're solid!
Mike44
07-06-2007, 06:17 PM
Day 60: Wednesday, July 4
Okay, since I said Happy Canada Day, I'll say this too for our neighbours down South: HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! The inside of the windows have begun to be framed with trim, and finally the floor upstairs was completed. And they're continuing with the installation of the garage doors.
Day 61: Thursday, July 5
No construction today.

08-07-2007, 06:14 AM
Yeah, hey sorry guys!!! David is absolutely right!!! I guess I will have to update it just a little. When the electricians started coming, I was helping them out a lot and we're getting some landscaping around the house as well, so I'm pretty much out all day! I haven't really taken any recent pictures, but I'll get some up right away - mostly the inside.
Basically, construction of it is finished now, and I've been working on a few finishing touches in the room upstairs (which is just about done too!).
Pictures are on their way!!!
Mike44
08-07-2007, 08:17 AM
Okay, here we go! Time to catch up a little...
Day 62: Friday, July 6
The garage door tracks were put up for both doors. The walls in the bedroom upstairs were framed up and insulation was put in them. The electrical rough in also began today (this is why I stopped posting from here because I was busy with all this!!!!! :) 2 loads of gravel was also delivered to finished grading the driveway at the garage.
Day 63: Saturday, July 7
No construction today, but I continued to wire up some of the electrical outlets along the walls.
Mike44
08-07-2007, 08:21 AM
Day 64: Sunday, July 8
No construction today.
Day 65: Monday, July 9
The insulation was finished being put in in the upstairs room and the vapor barrier plastic was stapled on and the seams tuck taped. The electricans came back too to finish up the electrical rough in and hook up the condiuts into the house with LB fittings (Day 69 shows that picture).
Mike44
08-07-2007, 08:24 AM
Day 66: Tuesday, July 10
No construction today (Did more electrical work myself though!! Always fun when there's no power on - you can touch any wire you want!!)
Day 67: Wednesday, July 11
No constructio today.
Mike44
08-07-2007, 08:28 AM
Day 68: Thursday, July 12
The driveway leading up to garage was reshaped and another layer of gravel was added.
Day 69: Friday, July 13
No construction today. The picture for Day 69b is one of the switch boxes I'm pretty proud of - the wires are all nice and neat! Plus, I'm not putting drywall up, so all the wiring will still be showing so I'm trying to make it as neat as possible. The picture for Day 69c is the LB's going into the house.

08-07-2007, 08:35 AM
Day 72: Monday, July 16
The garage door openers were installed today as well as some of the ¼" plywood on walls in room. The plywood is a backing for the bead board that will be going up.
Day 73: Tuesday, July 17
The rest of the plywood was put up and they started putting up the bead board over top. Also, the railings on half of upstairs storage area was put up.
Mike44
08-07-2007, 08:37 AM
Day 74: Wednesday, July 18
The rest of bead board in the room and the railings on upstairs storage area were finished today.
Day 75: Thursday, July 19
Installed trim around bead board seams and sanded railings on upstairs storage area. The railing for stairs was built too (which looks great!).
Mike44
08-07-2007, 11:48 AM
Day 76: Friday, July 20
Installed rest of trim around bead board seams and put up door frame.
Day 77-93: Saturday, July 21 - Monday, August 7
I have no idea what went on in these days now because I forgot to take pictures and record anything!! But basically, the electricians came back to put on all the plugs, switches, lights, etc. and hook up the main power feed cable to the house (that wire was huge!!!!!) and the garage subpanel. The carpentry work in the room upstairs was also finsihed so now we're just waiting for the guys to finish before we get in to paint and furnish it. Also got the eaves trough up and downspouts! And last but not least, we were told by the contractor that one of our two pallets of siding was defective and that they will have to strip some of the siding. What probably happened was that one of the pallets was sitting out in the company's yard in a pile of mud and water and when it went up, it dried out and shrunk! So there were huge gaps in between some of the pieces a few days after they put it up! Basically, the two side walls and the back one had to have the siding stripped.
Mike44
08-07-2007, 11:50 AM
Here's some pictures of the stuff that went on between days 77-93. I forgot to attach it to the last post.
Okay, so that should just about do it for catching up with the progress! Since there won't really be too much more going on, there probably won't be too many more pictures. I will definately go around though once all the work has been finished and take some final pictures to post! I've got some 'before' pictures as well for a good comparison!

Nice looking garage.
Where are the cars? Looks like you are ready.
What are you going to use that upstairs for?
Mike44
08-08-2007, 06:23 PM
Almost ready for cars! Just waiting for the siding to be finished and all the construction supplies out - still need to build a workbench as well on the back wall. The porsche is just waiting to drive in!!! Yeah right, lol!
Upstairs will be used as a guest bedroom. And as and extra feature for resale value on the house, it can be an artists studio or something like that. It was actually kind of an add in that we decided to do half way through the build (so the were the dormers, that's why you see the roof trusses going through them!).
The next pictures I'll probably post will be when it's all done as I'll be going away for a bit. The contractor said they should be finished everything by the time I get back! Finally!
looks like a house!! nice
Mike44
01-12-2008, 03:52 PM
looks like a house!! nice
Lol, from this view, yes, but you need to see it in perspective (like in these next pictures!). It's only 3 cars wide, so really not too big. In the first picture below, it looks small compared to our house, and our house isn't really big at all!
Anyways, time for a little update!
So with the summer over half a year ago and the start of school, I couldn't really get out much to finish up any projects in and around the garage. There's still a few things on the list: planting beds around garage need to becompleted (ie, plants planted and mulch spread), workbench needs to be built, upstairs storage area needs to be filled (there's definately some stuff that needs to get out there from the basement, lol), upstairs room can be decorated now (I'm not in charge of that!), and the grass needs to grow around it!!!
During the summer, I'll have time to continue on with this, but in the mean time, here's some outside shots during the winter! Sorry, they're all pictures from at dusk, but the lighting looks nice.
I'll make another update in the spring/early summer once more stuff starts to get done. Plus, I'm making a time lapse video from all the images I took during the construction - that'll be edited soon.
For now, enjoy!

Oh, I also put up (or hung, rather) the construction heater on this nice little swivel suspended holder thing. I made it swivel so that way I can angle it to where ever I'm working and keep warm! It's perfectly balanced front to back (lucky measurement!) so it hangs just right! You'd think I would have built it during the summer so I could use it during the winter; ya right - of course it has to be the coldest day when I'm making it!! Seven layers and I still felt cold!

I like the swivel, but how do you turn it?
How about a R/C controller with a servo? :D
Edit: I guess you could just do it with some string and a couple pullies, but the R/C setup would be way cooler.

Oh! Lol, no you're thinking too technical! Since it's mounted on the ceiling of the garage (about 8') you just reach up and grab the heater and turn it. Hmm, now that I think of it though, I don't know how hot it would get if I wanted to turn it after being on for a while .

Hey! Not a bad idea . That sounds like it would work pretty well - more spify than a string - I'd just have to figure out how to make it work. I've built an RC car before so I've seen how the servo sort of works, so I've got the basics!! Probably have to put some kind of gear or belt around the central pivot and hook that up to the servo. Any servos out there where you can have it wired from an outlet switch box (with a 2-way toggle switch or something)? That might look neat beside the thermostat control for it. Of course, I'd need a transformer or something - definately don't want a 120V servo! Lol.
Great idea! I'll add that one to my ever growing list of stuff to do...:x

Well, I suppose I'll just give another little update here! No pictures right now, but they'll be coming again soon!! It's been about a year and half since construction was finished and it's been a great space for all those projects! So far so good!! Just set up the real workbench this fall with my dad before I was back to school, so now it really looks like a true garage! Just need to fill those shelves now with some tools :D. The past summer though, I did have a "mini-shop" set up in there though with our chop saw and table saw with the temporary workbench being just a piece of plywood on two sawhorses!! So I'm exicted to get to use the new workbench this summer for some projects.
The upstairs room is also complete. My mother 'worked her magic' up there and has decorated it up nicely as a beachy style. Perfect for a 3 season room I think! I've also hooked up a few speakers from an old kit we had for our TV so I can listen to some music while I'm working! And, the grass has finally grown in around the garage and front lawn too! Well, we actually had to re-seed it ourselves in the fall because the landscaper did a poor job at it. The seedlings took in the fall and some shoots started coming up before the frost came in the winter. Can't see any grass now because of the snow, but it should grow in nicely this spring :).
Anyways, I definately want to put some final pictures up of the garage. I'll have to wait until I'm finished school though, so the final images will probably go up in the spring/summer!!
AND the one last thing that I mentioned I would do in my first post was the time lapse of the construction!! I've taken all the timelapse images from the camera and put them onto my computer, edited them to "stabilize" or align them all (since each picture kind of shifted each time I took a picture :???:) and put them into a video. I know I said that I would do it last summer in Post #60, but, well, you know....too many other things :). Not going to show it yet though since I still want to stick in some final images (or maybe video too) at the end. Who knows!? But again, that'll all be in the spring/summer when I've got more time.
Anyways, that's it for now!
