I've been stripping our beams using ReadyStrip and there is some residual paint on the wood and in some of the grain & knots... I've used a wire brush after scraping the ReadyStrip and paint off and now that it's dry I tried sanding using a palm sander, but the sandpaper gets gunked up too fast. Plus I learn that my wife doesn't want a smooth surface, but would like it to remain kinda rough looking w/ the grain's texture. What do you recommend I do at this point to finish removing the paint w/out sanding, planing, or sand blasting (if those are even options)?

Thanks for the reply. I went to the hardware store after work and got some kind of citrus after stripping wash & a stripping pad. I'll see how that goes tonight & if it doesn't work, I'll try your suggestion :)
