I have a problem with my phone that is a little, to say the least strange.... When I make a out going call and hang up, my own phone will ring several times till I pick up the handset, but not always. What is up with that???? I've never heard of this problem before. Any clues what to do?? I'm really lost in the dark on this one.....

Is it redialing a number that you couldn't connect to? I know my cellphone does that - freaks me out. Or could someone be doing *69 (it used to be that anyway) to see who called them?

Mine does that occasionally... rings immediately after hanging up. Did it with Verizon and also now with Alltel after the local buyout.

Mine used to do that quite a bit. It has something to do with all the sh*t we connect to our phone lines nowadays - answering machine, satellite, computers, etc, etc, etc. I told Verizon about it once and the tech suggested I go around and disconnect everything and leave it that way for a while, then reconnect one at a time so the system could "reset" itself. I think that helped.

wish it was that simple.... the problem is at my other home. There is no electronic extras to hinder the line. So I don't understand just what the malfunction is.... Guess I'll have to threaten the phone co. for some real answers, not their usual B.S. they hand out. They're good at that!!!!

Wish I Could say that I had more than one line...... But the sad fact is that it's a single private line w/four phones on said line... My other home doesn't ring after a call... Can't understand why this one does... It's really getting my goat  . But at the moment I haven't went there to solve the problem.... going very soon though!!!
