Site Face Lift

I've been thinking about giving the site a minor face lift to make it more appeasing to people. I think the content of the site is good and getting better and the base members are excellent. So in order to be more progressive I'm going to propose a couple layouts for everyone to look at and would like some feedback.
This outline of a layout started as pretty straight lined and then I got a wild idea to add some interest so don't be too critical. I may go back to just straight or lean more towards the circular once I get some feedback.

Set your phpbb table sizes to % instead of px.

I like layout 3 better.

haha..ok. What does that have to do with the images? I personally like to keep the size of the forum set to a certain width for anyone at 800x600.
I know that there aren't many left at that size but I still get a few every day that are.
And which one is layout 3?

Not everyone uses 800x600. INfact last time I checked most internet usesers have their resolutions set to: 1024x768

If it's set to 99% instead of 777px then when I browse at my work I don't have a ton of wasted space n the side.

It has nothign to do with the images but just a friendly suggestion.

I hear what you're saying. But I personally like it fixed.. not that it really matters as long as the site is functional and keeps working :)

Here's the most up to date with all the bells and whistles... well at least all the ones I could think of.

Well I'm almost done with this re-design. I've written the new link exchange script to replace the directory.. just need to wrap the forum and the glossary inside the new design and I should be done. Hopefully by next week you'll see a new improved site.

Well the forum now has the new design. It'll take me a bit to get the rest of the pages switched over.. but not too long. Major section would be the glossary.

Well it's all updated. if anyone finds an error please let me know. The glossary still looks iffy but oh well.
