Meter Hum

The power meter that is mounted outside our bedroom hums. It's loud enough to hear it inside. Occasionally, it makes a vibrating, pulsating, type noise, like motor turning. I don't know how fast the mechanism turns that drives the meter, but from this noise, it sounds like a fairly fast noise. Is this normal?

I don't really know. I can suggest checking out someone else's meter to see if it is as loud though. If not, give your supplier a call and ask them how loud they are.

Does it make the humming noise all the time? Or is it only during high power usage? It could be just a faulty mechanism inside the wheel or something.
