I understand that the window stool is inside and the window sill is the outside sill plate on a window.
My windows in a new house are drywalled and I need to install the stool.
In the old days we had stool material that was routed so that it could be installed at a slight tilt on wooden windows. Nobody sells this material around here anymore.
The only thing I can find at the local lumber yards is a material that is Formica covered on top. The edges wouildn't be finished.
I will not have curtains on the back of the house so I can look at the deer and turkey in the hay field. I will be painting the stool white.
I guess the best look would be to cut a finish board to fit with ears on it, route a trim edge and put a trim piece underneath? I guess my question is: does anybody sell material that I can just cut to fit?
