I have a 35' x 25' living room that has textured paint half way up the walls. What can I do to get rid of it or cover it up?
Thanks
Dan
Two things that I can suggest..
1. A wainscot or chair rail - but not sure if it's too high for that.
2. And the less desirable method of sanding scraping and creating a lot of dust and then repainting.
The first could be fairly expensive and the second is very labor intensive and time consuming.

Drywall is cheap, and if you re-tape yourself.... Might actually take the same amount of TIME as the scraping, but personally, I'd rather change the drywall than scrape!
....in one bedroom of my house, I had all the nails poking through the wall..... started pulling and replacing with screws, then retaping all the spots.... started witth just a few nails... ended up doing this to about 20 spots... in the end, I wished I had just ripped and replaced.
