Brick Questions

I'm getting a bid for brick on a house I'm building. What kind of questions do I need to ask? Does the framer normally put up the tyvec? I'm using king sized brick and show brick details around windows on the plans. Anything I'm missing?

yes carpenter should all seams should be taped using tyvek tape. make sure mason uses high quality flashing at least 18" 20mil on foundation brick behind tyvek and over all windows and doors. ( must be installed correct very important )

On top of the advice you got, you want references.
You want to see the work. A contractor is only as good as his last job. I don't have to sell jobs, my customers do it for me.

Make sure your quote specifies -

- All, some or none of the materials included
brick
ties
masonary sand
angle iron (epoxy finish, shop primer or natural?)
mortar dyes (if needed)
- winter heat (if needed)
- acid wash

Can anyone think of anything else?
