Trying to decipher the materials list of our new home. Can anyone tell me what "treated DF#1 select, sunwood select allweather" posts means exactly. Is it actually pressure-treated? Is it good quality?
Allweather is a brandname - you can see their product literature here..

There are 2 types of treat for their douglas fir lumber.. I would recommend against the cca type.

When I checked out the Allweather site, I couldn't find the 6x6 posts. Did I just miss them? My main concern is verifying that the posts used were actually Pressure Treated. Any suggestions? Thanks!
If they were CCA treated they would be a greenish color.. and for either type of treating they should have a stamp stating what they are treated with.
Page 6 of 16 is where you'll find the ACZA treated douglas fir 6x6's and if you look it has .40 and .60 types - this should be on the stamp also and gives you the pressure (I can't remember if that's correct or not) that it was put under to be treated.
