120 YO Victorian/restoration using Peel Away 1. Entrance stairway has very ornate wrought iron railings with years of paint on them. Through process of elimination I ended up using Peel Away 1 as I should have right from the git go. The Peel Away sample I did was awesome; completely removing the layers of old paint with minimal labor (just a little nylon brush action and garden hose wash-off). I'm going to sand blast them with 00 sand to remove the rust. What is the proper work flow from there? How quickly must I prime? Any after sandblast/before primer suggestions? What is the 'best' primer to use for wrought iron? Because of the railings' ornate nature of 'flowers, buds & stems 'I would love to "air brush them, incorporating the house's accent colors for the flowers and buds. Is air brushing (for the sake of paint control) feasible? If yes, can I use a high grade exterior quality paint via an air brush? If so is there a particular brand of tintable paint suprior for such an applic ation other than the Glidden exterior that I'm using on the house body and trim? Open to all suggestions and comments. Thanks:
