Hi,
First, I'm new to this site so let me know if I'm posting in the wrong spot.
I'm currently working on texturing the walls & ceilings of my basement. As I've been doing the ceiling I'm noticing that tiny hairline cracks are starting to form on some of the butt joints on the ceiling. I did three coats of mud feathering out to 12 inches on each side. However, I did use mesh tape which I've been told isn't great for butt joints on ceilings. Also, I did apply fairly thick coats and later did a whole lot of sanding, which may have contributed to the problem.
Anyway, my question is, when I go to prime the ceiling, will the primer adequately fill in these tiny cracks, or do I need to do something else?
Any advice I can get will be greatly appreciated.:)
