We are building a 20X30 shed. The concrete has been poured.
It will be a truss roof.
On the 30 foot side (1 side only) it needs to overhang a porch about 3 feet.
On the other 30 foot side it should overhang 2 ft.
The other sides only 18 inches. this is a gable roof
Any ideas on the best type of roof to look at?
I was looking at a cantilevered truss but don't know if that is best.
The 20 foot side is the gable.

Any thoughts anyone?
the key is can a truss roof cantilever out 36 inches on 1 side and 24 on the other without support?

talk to a good "local" lumberyard. they have outlets for truss manufacturing and they could give you a cost that way as well. you can be surpised what the can pre-engineer.

Yes they can, I'm working up a run in shed design with a 4' on one side and 1' on the other.
