Hi, just joined the forum and would appreciate any input on the following;
We've owned this funky little cabin for a while, it was described as a tear down when we bought it, but we fixed it up and it has served our family well for several years. It has a cement block foundation and is 2x4 construction with 1ft wide cedar boards set diagonally on the outside, covered with cedar shingles. The building is about 20' x25'. We now want to build a small 2 story house - it is a large lot and we can build up to 1/3rd of it, but we don't want to just waste the old cabin and CC&R's won't allow 2 dwellings so we want, if possible to turn the old cabin into a garage - is this even feasible? Any ideas?
