What is your view on where the real estate market in US is heading?

As I have heard from many in real estate field is it heading through a trough?

It's going through a very rough time but I think it will recover soon in a big way.

The real estate market is very soft right now. Actually, for the first time in a long time, interest rates are down and the value of property is down. It is looking to harden up (higher interest rates and possibly even lower home prices) in the spring and summer.

People have been saying it will pick back up for a while now... Still waiting for that to happen. I don't think this financial crisis is helping...

It's bad here in Texas. Not "great depression" bad, but it's very slow and even good houses are taking a while to sell. I think people are scared and many have had their investments tank, or lost a job. I think we have at least 9 more months of pretty bad times before we see a significant improvement, but hopefully Obama's presidency will help.

Real Estate means selling houses ,appartment ,land, etc .. in such a good price , its a great thing to invest and earn more !! and I also hope Obama's Presidency will help !!!!:rolleyes:

I think it is going to be difficult for the real estate industry to recover anytime soon. But I agree that if you have the means to, it is the right time to invest in real estate since everything is cheap nowadays.

I think If you Invest In real estate Industry, You can get something good after some time. But If you want to Invest for long time. There is no Issue. On one day you can get better results of your property.
