About 30 years ago, with verbal guidance from a contractor, I was able to put a perimeter foundation around a two story house - which was build pillar/post. So, I know I can put in a perimeter foundation.
I am going to be putting a 24' x 25' metal garage on a bit of sloped property. I want to rest the garage on a 12"x12" footing, as per the engineers ok.
Problem/concern: Framing the thing - 9" to 12" down will be at least a 12" layer of hard pan. How do I build the frame/s, considering the hard pan there either tells me I am going to have the "thingys" (that are pounded into the ground to hold the wood frame) perminently sticking out of the ground, or you guys know how to deal with this and will help me out.
