As I have stated in my other posts, I am building a shed.
I am fairly settled on Hardi-plank siding. I live in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. What type of hardi-plank would be the cheapest? The lowest price I have found is at Lowes Home Improvement, 8 1/4" x 12' Woodgrain : $4.47. If my math is right, that is $0.64/sq. ft. I am going to put the hardi-plank directly to studs on 16 centers. Is there a different type of hardiplank that is cheaper? Do you think that I would get a discount if I purchased 60 of these boards?
Post the prices that you have seen.
edit: I also found a product called : "4' x 8' ABTco Knotty Barnside Unprimed". This product was only $14.46, yet it is a masonite panel with 8" on center grooves. I have heard many horror stories about masonite. What is your opinion on this?
Thanks to all that reply!!!
